ART JOURNALING WORKSHOPS

Art journaling is addictive, messy, fun and good for the soul.  There is no right or wrong way to art journal because it’s a private conversation expressed outwardly in colours, shapes and words.  Each class I will help you develop techniques to release your creativity, add meaning, find inspiration and discover how to create and use basic art supplies and equipment.

Maybe you are thinking, I’m not an artist! Well, art journaling is not drawing or sketching, in fact, I rarely draw.  I mainly use collage techniques such as cutting out images I have printed, stencilling, stamping, spray inks and words and images from books, wrapping paper and magazines.  I am convinced that anyone can learn art journaling.

I can come to your house or you can come to my place at Lawnton (30 mins northside of Brisbane, QLD).  Minimum class size to go ahead with a booking is 5.  If you sign 4 friends up with you I will reward you with a hostess gift.

Cost is $30 /session which includes all materials and supplies except an art journal which is an extra $10. The first payment of $40 (Class + journal cost, wk 1 payment) is required to secure your place in the class. Full payment up front of $130 will be rewarded with a bonus art collage pack.  Each class is approximately 3 hours long.  Classes come in 4’s (1 class per week for 4 weeks) and can be booked weekly ongoing after that if desired.  Custom classes tailored to your group is my speciality.  (Great for mother daughter get togethers, teen girls, craft groups, girls night out, hens nights, women’s ministry gatherings).

*Art Journaling as Worship or Art Journaling for Beginners are a prerequisite for this advanced class.

Sometimes in the busy-ness of living, juggling kids, maybe a partner, and work we put ourselves last.  Sometimes it’s the different seasons of life make us wonder what we did with our dreams, hopes and confidence.  This advanced class invites you to look within and use art journalling techniques to rediscover and express who you are right now and look ahead to where you want to be. We will get hands on with a wide range of art materials and equipment and learn how to use each of them. We will use prompts to ponder, reflect, rediscover and unpack our self talk and express it as colour, shapes, images and words.
