tag making fills my bucket

Yesterday my bucket filling session was 5 precious hours at my art desk. Sigh!  I was inspired by the endless Tim Holts’ YouTube sessions on Sunday.  Here’s some of my tag art.

These green and brown ones are very Tim Holtz aren’t they? I dripped brown Distress Ink on wet tags and turned the tags around to make the ink run, so much fun! Needs string/ribbons and maybe some words…IMG_4528

Brights are still my favourite colours to work with.  All these tags are play for me as I design a Tag Art class for next month.  Dates to be released asap.IMG_4530

The butterfly tag below was an experiment with my black Dylusions ink spray, to be honest I’ve rarely used it, black can be so stark, I’ve been a bit scared to use it, but i really think it worked well with the butterfly masks I used.

Art isn’t an indulgence, it’s access to one’s deepest recesses. Art fills, quietens, heals, causes us to ponder and fills our bucket.

I rarely use black ink spray so, inspires,
