making tags & a give away

I started making tags during the week as little gifts for my Art Journaling workshop ladies and enjoyed it so much today I made some more.  Unfortunately I forgot to take pics before I distributed 8 out last Tuesday.

The backgrounds were made via gelli plate (I’ve only used it twice so far, so still very much at the experimenting stage), and then I used some stencils, stamping and hand stitching to finish them off.

The butterfly is die cut from my Big Shot and the ribbons and string are from my stash.  Tags are a great way to use up little bits of leftover cardstock, ribbons and odd embellishments.

Enter by leaving a comment on which one is your favourite (1 entry), ‘like’ rockmelon on facebook (1 entry) and subscribe to my blog (1 entry), so potentially you can enter 3 times if you are new to my blog.  Draw will happen next Sunday at whatever time I get around to it! LOL. Happy to post international!

Hope you had a great Sunday, I did. I ended up going to bed at 2 this morning as my eldest daughter had a movie night and the extended version went a lot longer than anticipated!  Crashing now! G’night.

Hi rainbow fingered crafter, you won my give away, message me the best address and some paper love will be on the way. I find gelli plates work best when used with stencils. I usually do my lightest colours first then my top layers are darker. I often stencil after i gelli plate too less murky colours that way!. Rochelle

Fab! How do I message you so it doesn’t show my address publicly? Also I’m moving in a couple of weeks, I guess it will take a while to get all the way over here. Hope it doesn’t cost that much to send it all the way over here! 🙂

Hi, sorry I haven’t replied, been away and barely had five mins to spare! I’m moving house in three weeks, are you able to hold on to them for a couple of weeks? Although I’m going to check out how much it costs to get post redirected. But the post here is rubbish and I don’t want them to go missing!! 😦
