I picked up some cute wooden off cuts at Reverse Garbage when i visited their latest exhibition. After sanding back the uneven wood and mod podging a paper background to it, i spent a few hours collaging.
“She has boldness within.”
I used torn butterfly tissue paper and a piece of scrapbooking paper i got for Mother’s Day plus recycled, remnant & vintage fabrics and of course paints, stamps, stencils and ink sprays. The purple taffeta fabric in the flower was remnant fabric my eldest daughter wore to my Dad’s wedding about 14 years ago, and the white tulle was left over from when i sewed two little flower girls dresses for my wedding 18 years ago. Sweet when memories combine with creativity.
