making a difference

We believe in living a life of purpose and try to make the little things we can do make a difference. Hubby faced the razor for The World’s Greatest Shave last month. He thought it would make the most impact if he skipped a haircut prior tot he shave.  This before pic says it all.

He was pretty nervous on the day, he kept thinking about having to preach for a few weeks with a bald head plus i have previously gotten mad at him when he gave himself and number one son a buzz cut a few years back… i told him he looked like a criminal at the time (a low blow i know, but i was upset at the time)…

This time i sucked in my opinions and gave him my full support and encouragement. We coincided the shave with a church social at our place. Brad had also talked one of our youth Zac into shaving his head too, so they sat facing one another, making off jokes as their hair fell to the pavers. Between the two of them they raised $3000 for Leukaemia.

Proud of them. They have made a difference.

I like long-ish hair (style cut) on a bloke, but I have to say that even with mega short hair, the T-shirt reads true! Go B1! You look great!!! 🙂 And what a terrific job fundraising.
