siblings

Younger siblings spend much of their life tagging along behind their older brother or sister, just out of view.  They get used to having their older siblings act as another parent and get used to following orders.  Trouble is they can develop follower mentality and learn to pass decisions to others.  Middle borns can love this or resent their birth order.  I endeavour to mould leaders out of all my three kids.  I grab every opportunity for my second and third borns to lead, take responsibility and spend time away from their siblings, which can be difficult since we home school.    Middle born went to Canberra for an excursion, 5 days away without parents and siblings, freedom to flap his wings alone for a little.  A time of being stretched.  Good stretching.  Here are some pics he took with his camera.

Far out Roc – your kids are growing up way too quickly! (…and then I turn around and look at my own and notice the SAME thing happening! sigh.) Her certainly got some good shots. I think you may have just inspired me for challenging C. He already has a firey passion within him, I just need to figgure out how to direct this passion, and mould him into the man of God that he was created to be. Thanks!
