our creative spaces – clay tags

My kids were learning about plants so we pressed some leaves into air-drying clay to study their veins.  This leaf was from the locquet tree in our yard.  My memory is my Uncle and Nana who used to grow locquets.

While my kids went to recess, my crafty fingers got itchy so i made these clay tags with some of my stamps.

i think i’ll tie them onto gifts wrapped in brown paper and tied up with a pretty bit of vintage lace.  The paw print would go well for a child’s birthday gift me thinks.

The butterfly is my favourite i think because it is so versatile.

The handprint would help welcome a new baby and congratulate a new mummy?

Enjoyed this craft, think i’ll make more.  More crafty peeps here!
