glorious wood

i like painting walls but i love painting wood.  Small bits, big bits, curved bits… i got me an orbital sander (you need one when you renovate LOL) and spent a few hours today sanding back old varnish off a daggy chest of drawers ready to paint tomorrow.  These drawers will go in my craft nook as i am dying to unpack everything…

These pics are from a previous project i haven’t blogged about.  Take one op shopped, gorgeous hand-turned wooden candlestick and 2 wood-turned platters (grand total $5),

glue and nail together, sand and paint copious amounts of times… voila!  My new stand awaits a delicious homemade cake!

Now to scour the op shops for a glass cover!!!  Thanks for reading!
