it is never too late to put your yearly goals and aspirations in place.  Inspired by Kate from anotherdonkeydesign here are eleven things for 2011:

  1. learn to touch type!  I know how can any female under 40 get through school and Uni and have never learned to touch type?  The short answer is doing other subjects much more interesting such as Woodwork and Tech Drawing.  Oh, and i can type pretty fast with3  fingers but considering number 2 on this list must get faster and more accurate!
  2. send my manuscripts off to an editor or publisher (in fact anyone who will read them).  I have 2 children’s books written, a book of church dramas and a couple of books in progress (spiritual) just sitting around…
  3. open an etsy store.  Need to build up a few of my lines before i’m ready but soon i promise myself, this will enable me to do number 4.
  4. join Bris-Style Would like to get out of my craft closet and meet like-minded crafters.
  5. exercise 3 times a week (and i started today,  had to drag myself out of bed, even beat hubby out which never happens, only on market mornings).
  6. have a coffee-ish drink with hubby 4 times a week.  Time to chat and catch up is marriage glue.
  7. make my own bread.  Made my first loaf this morning for 2011.  The kids and i couldn’t stop raving about it at lunch, so missed it, much cheaper too, and no nasty preservatives.
  8. be frugal.  Motivation is to build up enough money for a house / land deposit.  So over renting.
  9. blog 3 times a week.  Better than therapy, cheaper too.
  10. get our wedding photos into a wedding album!  15 years of bliss and we still have our photos in a dodgy album from the photographer and nothing enlarged and up on walls, shame on me.
  11. try a new recipe every fortnight!  This one will probably be the most difficult as i am very happy in my cooking rut.  Groan! The kids and i made these Melting Moments last week, simply divine!

    What is a Esty Store?
I also haven’t done anything with our wedding photos – such a shame – one day hopefully 🙂
    Good luck with your list

Such a great list! Send in your manuscripts!! I’ve always loved the way you write 🙂 We started milling our own wheat a year or so ago and love making our own bread and rolling our own oats out. We just sometimes forget to do it as often as we should 😉 lol. Last year (took me almost 10 years) I blew up some wedding photos and then scrapped our vows and framed them for the hallway. You’ve got me thinking now about some of the things I still want to get done this year 🙂

So hearing you on the wedding album – we are 11 years and ours are still in the same old album. We do have some blown up though – that was part of the deal, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have gotten that far either :). Is it wholemeal bread you made? If so, I would love the recipe.

That’s a great list, R. And each one is so doable. I’m here, watching and cheering you on from a distance. I know you can do all of them.
NOTHING tastes better than homemade bread, just out of the oven. Marjarine on top for me please. And those MM’s! They are so colourful and look yummy!
